Any accounts that cannot make that commitment will not be allowed to continue in Fuzion dance classes.
Create A Budget That Works For You - Seeing as the amount of conventions, competitions, and additional fees are laid out in advance, parents are encouraged to do the homework and decide ahead of time what the family can afford. Fuzion, like every other competitive team, can quickly become costly if you do not set your limits. Also, the more dances you choose to participate in, of course, means more rehearsal time. Choosing an unlimited amount of dances along with a solo and duo/trio will quickly become a heavy time and financial commitment. Remember, when you say yes to that extra dance or two, please keep in mind it is not just the rehearsal fee you are saying yes to. You are also saying yes to the additional costume fee, rehearsal time and the fee to compete it at every competition.
Final Account Payments - Accounts with an outstanding balance as of dress rehearsal will not be allowed to perform in the recital until the balance is paid in full. There will be no refunds given to dancers who do not perform in the recital.
Fuzion Annual Recital - The Fuzion School of Dance annual recital will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Dress rehearsal will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Dress rehearsal and recital will take place at the Topeka Performing Arts Center. A detailed recital handbook will be distributed to each Fuzion family in late February/early March.
Attendance/Practice Policy - Dancers must be committed to their dance classes. In order for the dancers at Fuzion to excel throughout the year, it is very important that they attend dance class regularly and take time outside of class to practice. If absenteeism becomes a concern, the instructor will contact the parents and make necessary arrangements for the dancer.
Attendance Policy for Competition Dancers - Dancers who sign up for the Showstoppers or Xcel Program are signing up for a competition program. The Fuzion faculty wants as many dancers to participate as possible but we also want our programs to be solid. In order for dancers to excel and do well, we need them to be at every class/rehearsal. We understand that there may be a time or two when a dancer just simply cannot make it to class/rehearsal, so we have an attendance policy for competition dancers.
- Dancers will not be allowed to miss more than FOUR classes/rehearsals for the year (per class/rehearsal). On their fifth absence they will be removed from the dance and no refunds will be given for costumes, entry fees, rehearsal fees, workshop fees, or tuition.
Make-up Policy
- Dancers have the option of making up absences. To make up an absence, dancers must set up a ½ hour private lesson with their teacher. Private lessons are $15 per ½ hour.
