  3. Any dancers that are eligible for the S/D/T Program and are interested should fill out the S/D/T section on the Fuzion Enrollment Form (this is their application for the S/D/T Program).  Dancers and parents must understand that the faculty will take your information into consideration when placing dancers in the S/D/T Program.  However, when placing dancers the following things are considered:  a) What style we think the dancer has the most experience in and will look the best doing.  b) For duos and trios - what dancers we think will look good dancing together (style and level).  c) How many S/D/T openings are available:  If there are a lot of dancers that sign up for solos, we may have to group dancers together to make it work with our schedule.
  4. DISCLAIMER:  The Fuzion faculty cannot guarantee that all dancers will be placed in the Solo/Duo/Trio Program.

Attendance Expectations:  Fuzion dancers who choose to be a part of our Xcel or S/D/T Program need to understand that attendance is CRUCIAL for success.  The faculty strongly feels that school should be a dancers #1 priority.  Dancers who choose to be in Xcel or S/D/T are choosing this as their extracurricular activity and it should come first before ALL other activities.

Student Teaching Program

Sign Up:  Dancers in 6th grade through high school are allowed to sign up for a student teaching position.  There are openings from pre-kindergarten classes through 7th grade classes.  Only high school dancers are eligible to student teach in 3rd-7th grade classes.  Student teaching positions are filled on a first come first serve basis.  If you are interested in student teaching, fill out the student teaching section of the enrollment form.

Expectations:  Dancers who choose to student teach are expected to act like an assistant teacher during the time they are student teaching.  Teachers will guide student teachers in class.  Most teachers expect student teachers to demonstrate at all times, wear appropriate dance attire, be a good role model and help out with basic classroom activities.  Student teachers are expected to be in class every week.  If they are unable to make it to class, they are expected to call and let the teacher know that they will be absent.  Student teaching positions are taken very seriously by the Fuzion faculty.  We expect the dancers to treat this position like a job.  It is a great experience for dancers and gives them a little taste of what it would be like to work at a dance studio.

When do they start?  Right away!  Student teachers will receive a letter or a call saying what class they will be assisting.  Student teachers will start in August and work throughout the year.

Student Teacher Ice Cream Social:  Student teachers who successfully complete the year will be invited to and Ice Cream Social.  The faculty is very thankful to have good student teachers and we want to show them our appreciation.  More information about the ice cream social will be given out in May.
