Susan McMillan
INSTRUCTOR
Susan McMillan received her early dance training at the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Performing Arts in Baltimore, Maryland under the direction of Donna Jean Wienecke and Kristen Hernandez. While in attendance at MCPA, she performed with the Hot Shots National Dance Team and attended various competitions along the East Coast.
Susan continued her training at the White Marsh Ballet Academy where she studied directly with directors, Shari Bickel and Sandra Harris to learn the high caliber Russian syllabus taught by the academy. During her time at WMBA, Susan directed the Choreographer’s Showcase and was the Rehearsal Assistant for the WMBA Dance Company. Susan continued her dance training at the College at Brockport in New York, where she double majored and received her Bachelor of Science in both Dance and Interdisciplinary Arts for Children. She had the opportunity to work with William Evans, Suzanne Oliver, Stevie Oakes, Mariah Maloney, and Karl Rogers, just to name a few. Susan returned to Maryland and continued to teach dance at WMBA, while receiving her Masters in Arts in Elementary and Special Education at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Susan moved to Topeka in 2016 and began teaching at Logan Elementary School as a Primary Special Education Teacher. She joined the Fuzion Faculty and family in 2017 and is excited for all that is to come!
